“Pastor Sue Saves Christmas” is a significant Christian film that portrays the journey of a new Pastor struggling with the Church leadership and her faith. Despite her objections, her congregation sets up an outdoor Nativity scene in a city where public displays of faith are prohibited due to protesters and non-believers. Pastor Sue (Rebecca Grant) attempts to dissuade her congregation from the idea in her gentle manner, but they are determined to proceed. Now Sue must balance a new relationship, her Bishop, the Congregation, and the city's formidable attorney, Lucy Fir (Joy Villa), who is determined to shut down and ban all faith displays.
As Christmas miracles unfold, Lucy Fir and the city move forward with plans for the destruction of the Nativity. When protesters arrive, Sue seeks help from the Chief of Police, only to be arrested for disturbing the peace. With the help of children, Sue's Congregation rallies behind her as Sue appeals to the City Council to revoke the ordinance against Faith. Success! However, Lucy's vendetta persists. On Christmas Eve, it is only Sue's heartfelt pleas for Faith that stands between her and Lucy's protesters. Although Lucy remains unmoved, the protesters are touched and decide to join Sue and her Congregation, ultimately bringing a heartwarming conclusion to the story as Pastor Sue Saves Christmas, at least for Pleasantville.
